Indian Army Launches Indigenous Messaging App SAI, Similar to WhatsApp
In the quest for ''Atmanirbhar Bharat'', Indian Army has developed and launched a impervious messaging software named the "Secure Application for the Internet (SAI)" that helps an end-to-end impervious voice, textual content and video calling offerings for Android platform over Internet, the Ministry of Defence stated right here on Thursday.
"The mannequin is comparable to commercially handy messaging functions like WhatsApp, Telegram, SAMVAD and GIMS and utilises end-to-end encryption messaging protocol. SAI ratings over on protection elements with nearby in-house servers and coding, which can be tweaked as per requirements," the ministry stated in a release.
According to the statement, the utility has been vetted via CERT-in empaneled auditor and Army Cyber Group, and the technique for submitting Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) internet hosting the infrastructure on NIC and working on iOS platform is presently in progress.
